Medical Centre Improves Operations and Centralises Data with RPA (Robotic Process Automation)
When a large Medical Centre purchased a new point of sale (PoS) system, they discovered that it did not easily integrate with their other key systems. The cash register system was necessary to allow employees to scan their hospital-issued ID badge when, for example, purchasing food in the canteen so that the amount could be deducted from their wages.
Thanks to the implementation of Fortra’s Automate, RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is now used to link the different systems. The team was very pleased with the support they received from Fortra and have since streamlined several processes using RPA. There are currently five bots (digital workers) working in the centre. These bots perform more than 65 processes across IT, accounting, human resources, and the revenue cycle. Collectively, the Centre now saves thousands of hours per year thanks to Automate.
